The King Hussein Foundation/ Institute For Family Health is looking to recruit Information Management Specialist - Fixed Term Project:

Job Purpose:

Information management specialist is responsible for handling databases containing records, documents, and data related to the activities of the institution. He/She is the gatekeeper of safe and securely stored information, and He/She know how to access and distribute data and documents in the most time-efficient and trustworthy manner.

Major Responsibilities:

- Assist in analyzing the needs of the institution’s system and requirements in cooperation with an external consultant in information technology where proper assessment and system specifications will be developed accordingly.
- Playing a lead role in the design, development, management and improvement of data management systems.
- Participates in the development, implementation, and managing of information technology procedures in coordination with the information management company that meets the organization needs.
- Review existing information to determine whether it is still relevant or needs to be updated.
- Analyze data to identify patterns or trends, which can then be used to make decisions.
- Develop and maintain an institution’s databases by creating new records and updating existing records based on the need.
- Assist with system testing for transition to be a well-functioning and reliable information system.
- Train users on how to use the information system and data entry process.
- Maintain and support the filing system of beneficiaries’ records and retrieve them in a timely and accurate manner.
- Help analyze business and functional requirements and design test scenarios to prove an implementation fulfills its functional requirements, ensuring compliance with testing standards.
- Compile and maintain all the pertinent reports and statistics and perform analysis as well.


Requirements:

 - Bachelor’s degree in in computer science, software engineering, information technology related areas.

- Minimum 2 years of work experience in Health Information Management.

Skills & Abilities:

- Skills in using a variety of office software applications, such as word processing, spreadsheets, presentation packages, and database applications to produce documents.
- Knowledge of the principals and techniques of records management.
- Knowledge of the procedures for securing, accumulating, processing, preserving, retrieving, and controlling the distribution of medical records.
- Ability to work with a team as well as independently.

Language Requirements:

- Excellent English & Arabic communication skills (both oral and written).
