يعلن Danish Refugee Council في عمان - الاردن عن حاجته الى :
Media Trainer Consultant
The Danish Refugee Council assists refugees and internally displaced persons across the globe: we provide emergency aid, fight for their rights, and strengthen their opportunity for a brighter future. We work in conflict-affected areas, along the displacement routes, and in the countries where refugees settle. In cooperation with local communities, we strive for responsible and sustainable solutions. We work toward successful integration and – whenever possible – for the fulfilment of the wish to return home.
The Danish Refugee Council was founded in Denmark in 1956, and has since grown to become an international humanitarian organization with more than 7,000 staff and 8,000 volunteers. Our vision is a dignified life for all displaced.
All of our efforts are based on our value compass: humanity, respect, independence and neutrality, participation
BACKGROUND and CONTEXT
DRC has been operating in Jordan since 2013, where it offers humanitarian assistance to refugees and displacement-affected communities by implementing protection and livelihoods activities that increase their self-reliance. DRC is currently implementing a one-year livelihood program through its community centers in Mafraq, Irbid, Karak, and Madaba, supported by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ).
The Waste to Positive Energy (WtPE) project’s overall objective is that labor intensive collecting and processing of recyclable waste will have a conflict reducing effect on the civil society and reduce the environment impact in the refugee host communities. As part of the project activities, DRC supports dialogue platforms for five groups (women, agriculture, women, shop owners, and students) in Karak, Mafraq, Madaba, Greater Irbid, and Al Taybeh. The platforms run over the length of the project and aim to contribute to waste avoidance through regular discussions on recycling, environmental protection, health and hygiene.
PURPOSE
DRC is looking for a Media Trainer Consultant to train the Dialogue Platform participants in the youth and students groups on basic film making and photography, respectively. This activity aims to give youth and student groups in Karak, Mafraq, Madaba, Greater Irbid, and Al Taybeh the skills and tools to share and evaluate their experiences and resulting impact of their participation in the dialogue platforms.

· Revise a multi-session course tailored for the youth and students groups to learn the basics of film making and photography, while developing their narrative and expressive skills. Use a variety of teaching tools from instruction, to demonstrations, workshops, one on one coaching and peer-to-peer mentoring. [Note: the youth groups will be trained on filmmaking, as they are comprised of university-aged students, while the student groups will be trained on photography as they are within the age range of 10-15 years old].
· Implement the training course, providing photography training for the student groups and filmmaking training for youth groups.
· Provide coaching and follow-up as needed to each of the groups. The trainings and support should culminate in the production of short films or photos, which constitute a collective account of the participants’ experiences and are focused on the impact seen from the dialogue platform activity.
