About the Children’s Museum Jordan:
The Museum is a national institution registered as an NGO and works in providing informal learning experiences to children aged between 1 and 12 years old. The Children’s Museum receives 300,000 visitors annually from schools and families from all backgrounds. The Museum is open to the public six days a week and is located inside the King Hussein Park (www.cmj.jo)
About the position:
This is a position reporting to the Education and Programs Manager. As the department seeks to enhance and improve its Early Childhood program implementation, it seeks to hire the right candidate to execute workshops, activities and programs dedicated to children between the ages 1 - 6 years.

Who should apply?
We are seeking to hire a professional who has a passion and experience in dealing with children of all ages (specifically between 1 - 6 years) and able to conduct workshops and activities dedicated for this age group while making sure to engage children and their families positively. The candidate must have at least 2 years of experience in a related field and scientific or educational background or certifications.
Relevant Experience for the Position:
Education, Early Childhood Development, Children's Workshops and Activities, Music, Arts.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
- To facilitate and guide visitors’ learning experience through a process of assisted discovery; by staffing the exhibits and conducting sessions, demonstrations and programs in and outside the Museum while maintaining a high level of content knowledge for each exhibit.
- To assist and support visitors with disabilities to ensure enjoyable and beneficial visits.
- To replenish and maintain program kits and report on shortage of materials.
- To greet visitors (schools, families, groups) and provide orientations and a brief overview of the Museum.
- To maintain exhibits' items in the best condition to ensure readiness and safety in coordination with the Maintenance Department, and ensure malfunctioning items are reported and addressed properly.
- To deliver activities and workshops within the scope of projects, programs and other offerings.
- To oversee assigned volunteers and monitor their tasks.
- To report to the direct manager on program evaluation and number of participants.
- To maintain Tinker Lab space as assigned.
- To perform other job-related tasks assigned by the direct manager.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood educational or any related field.
- (2-4) Years of experience
- Good command of English; spoken and written.
- Native Arabic speaker with excellent writing and reporting skills.
General Skills:
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to engage with children in activities in a positive and productive manner
- Expressive and eloquent
- Able to plan and organize activities that include painting, crafts and music
